VOLUNTEER OVERVIEW

  • Train to be a Teacher Assistant

Our classes served over 2500 students this past academic year, both online and in-person. We found success not only in the strength of certified Instructors, but in the dedication and service of volunteer Teaching Assistants. TAs are crucial to instruction as they participate in the planning and execution of instruction. TAs are asked to devote at least 3.5 hours a week, which is typically one class plus a planning session.

  • Become A Board Member

We are always looking for good candidates for our Board of Directors. We are especially eager to gain members who are Prince George’s County residents and/or who have a legal, communications, or business background. If interested, please click the button to get more information about becoming a Board Member.

For Educators:

The way we educate matters. We center community, inclusion, and equity in all that we do. That’s why we’ve compiled social justice resources that explore our histories, current issues, and community resources - for educators and students alike.
